Cosplaying for 10 years

Hello! We are the Russian cosplay team known as “R&R”. This name is the connection of first letters of our nicknames Ryoko (Ryoko-demon) and Rei (also known as Malro-doll). We’ve traveled a long way together as cosplay partners and friend.  We’ve been cosplaying for 10 years already!  But as a real cosplay team we started our existence in 2007 after many collective projects.  Today, the R&R team consists of 10-15 people.  Sometimes we have large performances with more than 22 people.  So, now you can see that cosplaying Team Rocket was our destiny as they have “R” on their shirts.

What Japan means for us:
Since we were 14 years old, when we first saw anime on TV and started learning Japanese, learning more and more about its culture and history, Japan became a part of our lives and hearts. Today, Japan inspires us as creators with its sometimes calm and shy, and sometimes rebellious, but always offbeat culture.  We’ve always dreamed up visiting Japan.  Not only for us, but for thousands of people here in Russia and for millions in the world, Japan became the second home of our souls.
